This endorsement was granted after 3 years of deliberation, exhaustive trials and testing by Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) and other than specific-application related lock systems (details confidential) are the same High Security, Light-Weight Safes that have been sold throughout Australia and world-wide since 1993.
The Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) is a standing interdepartmental committee responsible for the evaluation and endorsement of security equipment for use by Australian Commonwealth Government Departments, Agencies and Military.
The Security Equipment Catalogue (SEC) lists protective security equipment that has been tested and endorsed as meeting relevant SCEC standards. It is designed to be a reference of suitable components for security managers to choose from for security applications.
Whilst this SCEC Endorsement Level may not be a pre-requisite for your decision to purchase a Caravan Safe, however it does show the level of security that the Australian made Caravan Safe is held in by the Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) and will therefore offer a very high level of user confidence when being used to secure any form of valuables in any location the Safe Box / Docking Station has been installed.
